gsSCENE Goes to the Capitol – Hop on a bus at 11:30 a.m. and take a ride to our state’s capital, Columbia! In Columbia gsSCENE members will hear take a personal tour of the Capital building and learn the history behind South Carolina’s government and Columbia. Participants will get to see a judiciary committee in action and hear from Representative Alan Clemmons and lobbyist Mark Kelley. The day is capped off with an invitation to the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce’s Legislative Reception where you can meet one on one with our local elected officials. At 8 p.m. participants will load the bus back up to head back to Myrtle Beach.
