Committees
The gsSCENE has five different subcommittees where you can volunteer your time.
- Events - This subcommittee oversees all the networking and education events that the gsSCENE will host. Everything from location and entertainment to food and logistics. This subcommittee will plan it all. Callie Jean Wise, Chair - cjwise@nmb.us, O’Neil McCoy, Vice Chair - oneil.mccoy@bccompany.com.
- Education - This subcommittee is tasked with identifying areas important to gsSCENE members for professional growth. This committee then organizes and coordinates all educational events, including speakers, venues, topics, etc. John Sawyer, Chair john.sawyer@conwaynationalbank.com.
- Marketing & Public Relations - By helping out with this subcommittee you will be determining the best ways to advertise the program and events to all the young professionals in the Grand Strand. Members will help develop several types of promotions for the gsSCENE. Gary Henderson, Chair - gary@interactivitymarketing.com.
- Membership - This subcommittee will work on gaining new members as well as retaining the gsSCENE's current membership base. They will be the go-to for all membership questions and information. Jenifer Sweat, Chair jenifer@fsamb.com and Dan Sine, Vice Chair dansine@dunes.com.
- Community Involvement - One of the key aspects of the gsSCENE is community outreach. If you work on this committee you will be helping chose what community projects and types of service the organization will participate in. Steering Committee:
A group of 16 young professionals who live and work along the Grand Strand. This committee works to provide constructive social networking, professional development, and community engagement to young professionals in and around the Grand Strand area. They oversee all actions of gsSCENE.
